The Max Bögl Group, based in Sengenthal, Bavaria, has been dedicated to continuous training of their employees for quite some time. However, time-consuming paper-based processes often cause delays. Since the SAP Learning Solution was introduced, the HR managers' work has been simplified and the training courses themselves have gained in popularity: Seminar bookings have already doubled in the first year of using the tool.
If special knowledge has to be verifiably updated at given intervals, it is important to be able to plan your course participation. Stadtwerke München has introduced a standardized learning platform.

The introduction of Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM) is a challenging task for many companies due to the high regulatory and security requirements for compensation and the resulting low error tolerance - especially if existing individual tools for the calculation of specific compensation elements have to be transferred as well. The investment company Union Investment has opted for SAP ECM. The successful implementation proves: Their decision was right.
When an outdated software solution needs to be replaced, many companies hastily start an implementation project and then wonder why the new software does not meet their expectations. The Ingolstadt Hospital took the first step before this actually second one and by doing so laid the foundation for a modern HR information system.

As part of their recruiting activities, internationally operating companies use local online job platforms to find competent employees. This also applies to the automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler, although it had to face some problems in China. The solution: a customized interface.
Read in "Recruiting in Far East" (published in "Personalwirtschaft" in October 2016) how the Schaeffler Group succeeded in connecting all relevant Chinese job platforms, such as Zhaopin or 51job, with the central SAP E-Recruiting using a customized interface.
Companies, which receive several thousand applications every year, have to invest a lot of time in reviewing the application documents. Often the relevant documents and file attachments have to be processed individually in order to achieve a qualitative review and assessment of a candidate. With 6,000 applications per year, this amount of time was simply too much for the Max Bögl Group. The aim was therefore to spend even less time on administration, but more time on the candidate. With the automated creation of an electronic application folder, the company has achieved this goal.

The situation where IT support has to unlock SAP users, who have been locked out, because they have entered their passwords incorrectly, and reset the individual passwords, occurs in many companies several times a day. However, it can become a problem for users, if they need a reset outside of support hours. Varta Consumer Batteries GmbH & Co. KGaA was confronted with this challenge. The company has automated this process with a Password Reset Self Service and thus eased their IT support`s workload.
Many companies rely on SAP ERP HCM Performance Management to ensure that employee reviews are as transparent as possible and to be able to provide a fair performance assessment. An example from the automotive supply segment proves: In combination with individual in-house developments, the annual performance review process can be optimized and a fair and regular performance evaluation can take place.
